Welcome

We are an African collaborative, purposely engaging in advocacy, dialogues and partnerships to provide access to resources and opportunities for the African community within West Michigan. We want to see a united and engaged African community as empowered stakeholders, contributing to cultural, social, and economic development.

The African Collaborative Network (ACN) is an organization of African professionals focused on promoting unity, community involvement, and collaboration within the African community. We aim to highlight the professional achievements of Africans in West Michigan and encourage their participation in social, economic, and political spheres. The ACN operates with a working board and provides a supportive environment for African immigrants and refugees to voice our concerns and find solutions. We offer support mechanisms such as community organizing, advocacy, assistance for entrepreneurial ventures, and engagement in public affairs. The ACN aims to address systemic inequities, including access to information, visibility, participation and contribution in influential decision - making spaces, education for adults and children, and legal counsel tailored to immigrant societies.

Invest in a Brighter Future: Support the African Collaborative Network

Dear Partner,

I trust this message finds you in good health and high spirits.

My name is Mirabel Umenei and I represent the African Collaborative Network (ACN), a dedicated non-profit organization that tirelessly advocates for African immigrants, refugees, and migrants, particularly in West Michigan. Our mission is to amplify these voices and foster a sense of unity, empowerment, and development within these diverse communities.

The ACN provides a range of transformative programs focused on cultural awareness, educational access, economic empowerment, and advocacy. These initiatives are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by our African immigrant, refugee, and migrant communities, and are designed to provide the tools they need to thrive and contribute positively to society.

While our efforts have yielded remarkable success, the scope of the challenges we face means there is still much to do. We cannot accomplish our mission without the generosity of donors like you.

Your kind donation can:

  1. Support our Scholarship Program, making quality education more accessible to bright, deserving students.

  2. Fund our advocacy initiatives, ensuring African immigrant, refugee, and migrant communities have a voice that is heard and respected.

  3. Facilitate our economic empowerment programs, equipping individuals with skills and resources for sustainable livelihoods.

  4. Promote cultural awareness and unity, fostering a sense of belonging, community, and mutual understanding.

By choosing to support ACN, you are not just making a donation. You are investing in a brighter future for individuals and families, uplifting communities, and paving the way for a more inclusive, compassionate society. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference.

We invite you to partner with us in this noble endeavor. Please feel free to reach out if you would like more detailed information about our programs, our successes, and how your generous contribution can make a significant impact.

Thank you for considering a gift to the African Collaborative Network. We look forward to the possibility of your partnership in shaping a better future for our African immigrant, refugee, and migrant communities.

Sincerely,

Mirabel Umenei
